Feyenoord hired low-goal striker Boznik from Boavista

The Portuguese club announced, on Wednesday, that Feyenoord will appoint Robert Boznik from Portuguese club Boavista for one season. The Portuguese club also negotiated a purchase option.

It was not revealed how much Boavista could take from the 22-year-old Slovakian. According to Portuguese media, the transfer fee is about 2 million euros.

Poznik arrived for four million euros in January 2020 from MSK Zilina, who plays at the highest level in Slovakia. He failed to impress in Feyenoord, scoring four goals in 28 matches. Last season he was loaned to Fortuna Dusseldorf.

The striker – who still has a contract until mid-2024 at De Koep – also struggled to score in Germany’s second division. In twenty matches he scored two goals, after which Dusseldorf decided not to use the option to sign him for 4 million euros.

Boavista finished 12th in the Premier League last season. The Portuguese also has Dutchman Kenji Gauri under contract. In the past, he played privately with ADO Den Haag.
