Europe Festival Around Europe 2022 House of Portugal – Andre de Gouveia, March 17, 2022, Paris.

Finally we are already there! The festival begins on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 8 pm, for the first time in 16 years, at the Les 7 Parnassiens cinema with the screening of the feature film La Chasse aux Papillons in the presence of its author Otar Iosseliani.
As usual, we offer 3 sections for the competition:
– SAUVAGE Prize for 9 Unseen Feature Films in France;
– PRESENT AWARD with 10 recently produced documentaries;
The SAUVAGE CORTO Award, which presents short films from all over Europe.
In 2022, Europe Around Europe was selected to be part of the France-Portugal 2022 season as part of the Mostra IMAGINAIRES COLONIAUX programme, a selection of Portuguese films created by author and director Ariel de Pigolet, some of which come from the archives of the cinema of Portugal. Covering more than a century of Portuguese cinema, this Mostra shows about twenty films, most of which are unseen in France.
The festival will also feature an exceptional selection of great cinema classics in the THEMA section, whose theme is black and white.
All over Europe will honor the great Georgian director Otar Yusilani with an original set of his first black and white films.
