The French Luso Association for Defense and Security announced its creation on March 2, 2022. It aims to bring together all French and Portuguese interested in issues related to state sovereignty, security, defense, justice and internal security institutions. It is a question of thinking about contemporary issues in the economic, legal, cyber, military, internal, physical and even mental security of its inhabitants.
In the proposed program of activities: geopolitical understanding of the world, approaching the future with respect for the past, reviving memory, strengthening the link between civil and military societies, support for soldiers wishing to continue their activity in the civilian world. This initiative, which links French and Portuguese security professionals, aims to combine knowledge of the two cultures in order to work on the topics presented.
Organizing bi-national events in partnership in particular with the National Republican Guard of Portugal, the League of Armed Forces and the Union of French Living Abroad is a major objective of this young association.
