During his trip in the region of Pau, the deputy met many leaders of Portuguese associations, as well as businessmen. Paul Besco affirmed: “We must develop procedures between our two countries, and that is why I am touring Europe, going to meet different clubs, whether they are commercial, sports or cultural.”
Work at Gurus Camp
Paulo Besco has been elected since 2009 and confirms: “I often leave my country and come back there as soon as there is a session in the Portuguese National Assembly, meeting communities from my country but also elected officials like yesterday in the town hall of Pau for a working meeting in the Gorse camp. I have I was accepted into the Béarn International School, so I am proud to have spent those two days in Pau and its region.”
In the evening, the President thanked the presence of the Consul of Portugal, Annemarie Moshe, who was staying in Pau. The latter was to sum up a strong work: “Working together is the key to success, you have to know how to discover each other and work together.” President Charles Lourenço was to remember the aims of this party, thank the restaurateurs at Fin Gourmet, and thank pianist Valerie Didier for hosting the meal. In conclusion, he offered Paolo Pescoe his beret as well as a book about Béarn: “This will be an opportunity for you to visit Béarn better through these pages rich in documentaries but also colorful”.
