8 minutes of new gameplay, dragon as boss

We haven’t heard from Black Myth Wukong in a year, the action game from Chinese studio Game Science that tells the story of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, who borrows a lot from Dark Souls on her way to capture the boss. It took until August 20, 2022 for a new gameplay video to appear, and through Nvidia the game showed itself again. Obviously there to highlight the manufacturer’s RTX technology, this 8-minute demo allows us to appreciate the devastating plasticity of this game, which could finally lend its credentials to the next year run. It suffices to delve into the richness of the environments, details, character modeling, animation and lighting in the game in general to see that Black Myth Wukong will be a technical showcase for the following general consoles, technologies developed by Nvidia and China, which have become a major player in video games.

In this new 4K gameplay video, we discover battles, and plenty of battles, against ordinary enemies, but also against bigger and tougher bosses. Obviously at the end of the video a highlight of the show is a must, with the showdown against a new dragon. During moments of breathing, where breathing is possible, exploration is required, not only to take advantage of the game’s graphics, but also to use weapons other than a magic wand. We see for example that Sun Wukong can stop the water of a waterfall by casting some kind of magic spell and thus discover a secret passage, which will lead him to this dragon which will give him a hard time. Developed under the Unreal Engine 5, Black Myth Wukong should be released in 2023 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series if all goes well.
